General Rules Regarding Visitors

Guidelines and protocols to ensure safety, infection control, and patient comfort.

Arrival & Entry Guidelines
  •   Visitors must park their vehicles in designated parking areas.
  •   Children below the age of 13 are not allowed as visitors.
  •   Please co-operate with Security Staff and the liftmen, and use the staircase while coming down.

Conduct & Environment
  •   Smoking, tobacco chewing, or spitting is completely prohibited within the hospital premises.
  •   Please maintain silence in the hospital premises.
  •   Visitors are not to consume alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs, litter, or loiter in the hallways.
  •   Please do not make use of candles, dhoop, agarbattis, lighters, matchboxes etc., as they are a hazard and trigger smoke detectors.

Patient Room Etiquette
  •   Visiting hours and rules ensure patient care is not disrupted; visitors must abide by them.
  •   Visitors should refrain from sitting or lying on patient beds or the floors of patient rooms.
  •   No food or beverages may be brought into patient rooms. Visitors may use the cafeteria, waiting areas, and reserved lounges.
  •   Visitors are not permitted in non-patient areas such as utility rooms, nurse's stations, and kitchens.

Health & Safety Measures
  •   To protect patients from infections and allergies, visitors are not permitted to bring flowers.
  •   Visitors are not permitted to administer any medical treatment(s) to the patient.
  •   Please do not operate the oxygen/vacuum units yourself.
  •   For infection control, only one attendant can accommodate with the patient at a time, except during visiting hours.
  •   Visitors to patients in an isolation area are subject to isolation guidelines and should check with the nurse.
  •   Nursing staff may restrict the number of visitors if the patient's condition requires it.

Equipment & Valuables Policy
  •   Please switch off phones, pagers, beepers, and wireless equipment in patient and intensive care zones (CCU/ICCU/NICU/CTVs ITU) as they interface with monitoring systems.
  •   Please avoid bringing costly items like cell phones, jewelry, or valuables. Hospital authority will not be responsible for losses.
  •   Please do not wash personal clothes in the hospital premises.

Billing & Financial Rules
  •   Please do not give any tips to any hospital staff.
  •   All payments and bill settlements must strictly be made at the cash counter only against a proper receipt.
  •   Payments should be made in cash, bank draft, or valid credit cards (except Diners Club & Amex Cards). Personal cheques are not accepted.
